The Pedestrian

-The theme of the Pedestrian is how people now a days think doing things that have nothing to ndo with technology or things that run on gas (cars ) is overrated, uncommon , weird so on -Bradbury gets his message across by expressing how the cop was being very sarcastic and found it irrelevant to be walking at 8 p.m just to get fresh air and to look around -The tone of the story is how machines, devices take control of humans, and in a way addictions - A lot of people don't walk in 2018 because in a car everything is way quicker and many are just to lazy - Self driving cars can have positives and negatives in my opinion - The lead to more isolation many people text more often then they do meet with people, many people depend on their cars and smartphones -

Notes on modernism

Modernism basically means new.  definition i found on Duck Duck Go   Modernism is a philosophical movement that, along with cultural trends and changes, arose from wide-scale and far-reaching transformations in Western society during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Among the factors that shaped modernism were the development of modern industrial societies and the rapid growth of cities, followed then by reactions of horror to World War I. Modernism also rejected the certainty of Enlightenment thinking, and many modernists rejected religious belief.
